SIGNIFICANT CHANGES FOR 2008
In order to make every fair better than the last, changes must be made.  We would like to thank all the people who took the time to give us their thoughts and take the time to fill out a survey.  In order to make these changes more obvious, the major changes are outlined below:
    1. Registration (check in) of ALL open class items will be Wednesday, July 30th, from 1 – 8 pm. Due to freshness considerations, Baked Goods, Fruits and Vegetables, Floriculture and Field Crops MUST register their entries on Wednesday, but may bring their entries on Thursday, July 31st between 7:30 – 9:00 am.  We will adhere to registration times rigorously.
    2. Maximum number of entries per department is ten(10) per person, unless otherwise noted.
    3. All open class  entries MUST HAVE BEEN COMPLETED OR RAISED since the previous year’s Archuleta County Fair
    4. Quilting registration and judging is the weekend prior to the fair on Saturday, July 26, 2008.  Entries are accepted from 8am to 12 Noon and judging will begin at 1pm.
    5. Superintendents cannot compete in the department that they superintend.
    6. AGE is the classification previously known as UNIT.  Unless otherwise noted, the AGE breakdown is as follows:  Youth = 12 & Under, Teen = 13 -19, Adult = 20 & over.  For children, AGE is how old you were on January 1, 2008.
