2009 royalty

PRINCESS
TEEKA MURPHY

Teeka is an intermediate school straight A student and a member of the Rocky Mountain Riders 4-H Club. She enjoys working with her dog and also piano, soccer, pottery, crafts, reading, horseback riding and writing poems.

Miss Murphy's family has taught her that there are boundaries that must be respected and to reach out to those less fortunate.

In ten years Teeka sees herself studying to be an Egyptologist or maybe traveling the world.

Teeka sees the Archuleta County Fair as important to our community especially because of the programs for children.

 

QUEEN
WENDY WEBSTER

Wendy was a Pagosa Springs High School Cheerleading Co-Captain and won the All American Cheerleader Award for the Highest Jumps. She is a recipient of the Special Needs Helping Hands Award.

Miss Webster enjoys soccer, volleyball, dancing, drawing and designing cloths.

Wendy says her family has helped make her who she is today by setting positive examples and supporting her as she tries new things. She sees herself as a successful fashion designer in ten years.

"The Archuleta County Fair is important to our community," Wendy says, "because it gives people a chance to meet, have fun, try new thing and make memories."

JUNIOR PRINCESS
SAVANNAH MURRAY

Savannah has a 3.3 GPA and is a choir member. She enjoys horseback riding, music, art and history.

Miss Murray says her family is very supportive of the choices she makes and that her teachers are "real cool."

In ten years Savannah hopes to be studying to be "an Animal Doctor!"

Savannah tells us that the Archuleta County Fair is important to our community because it gives people a chance to show off their skills and talents. It's also a place for people to meet and have fun.
